BRUNSWICK — Rose A. Livernois, 91, died April 13, at Brentwood Manor Nursing Home following a long illness.

She was born in Brunswick on Sept. 9, 1922, a daughter of Thomas E. Sr. and Yvonne Bouchard Michaud. She graduated from St. John’s School and attended Brunswick High School.

She worked at the Verney Mill prior to her marriage to Lav Bernier in 1943. They owned and operated Bernier’s Market at Mill and Cushing streets from 1945 to 1965, when the property was sold to the state for U.S. Route 1 construction. Her husband died Oct. 17, 1970, and she worked at Shaw’s Supermarket until retiring. In 1973, she married Laval N. Livernois and made their home in Brunswick. He died Oct. 7, 1993.

She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by two stepsons, W. Richard Livernois and David E. Livernois; two sisters, Georgette Helie and Lucy Hodgdon; two brothers, David Michaud and Thomas Michaud Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 19 at All Saints Parish, St. John the Baptist Church, with burial following at St. John’s Cemetery.
