HARPSWELL — Ronald S. Breton, 80, of Gun Point, died unexpectedly on Aug. 20 at Mid Coast Hospital, in Brunswick.

Breton was born in Lewiston on June 7, 1934, the son of Lionel R and Vera Jackson Breton. He was a graduate of Lisbon Falls High School, Class of 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and was a longtime employee of Central Maine Power Co.

Breton married Liliette Charest on Aug. 17, 1970, in Nova Scotia.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter, a part-time lobsterman and a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Breton is survived by his wife of 44 years; two sons, Sean Breton and wife, Laura, of Lisbon Falls, and Marc Breton, of Bowdoinham; a daughter, Michelle Morgan and husband, Dana, of Bowdoin; a brother, Richard Breton and wife, Candace, of Winthrop; a sister, Shannon Wietz and husband, Wayne, of Winthrop and Texas; and four grandchildren, Wade and Zachary Breton and Brooke and Emilie Morgan.

Visitation was held Aug. 25 at Brackett Funeral Home, in Brunswick. A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 26 at Katherine Drexel Chapel, of All Saints Parish, in Harpswell. Interment with military honors was scheduled the next day at Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, in Augusta.
