BRUNSWICK — Romeo W. Coulombe, 67, died unexpectedly Dec. 4 at his home.

He was born in Brunswick on May 6, 1942, a son of Omer and Florence Dubreuil Coulombe, and was educated in local schools.

On Jan. 16, 1976, he married Hope Grover and made their home in Brunswick.

After working in shoe manufacturing companies for several years, he was hired by Bath Iron Works, and spent the last 40 years at the Harding Plant in shape layout.

He enjoyed gardening,  his computer, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Hope Coulombe; two sons, Mark Coulombe of Fryeburg, and Robert McFarland and his fiance Amber Perkins of Barters Island, and a daughter, Dawn Manter and her husband Sam of Gardiner; a brother, Richard Coulombe of Harpswell, a sister, Jacqueline Austin and her husband Sam of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Private graveside services will be held in the spring at Bailey Cemetery in Woolwich.

Arrangements are by Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing St., Brunswick.
