ROUND POND — Roberta P. Doyle, 98, formerly of Bath, died May 23 at Miles Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Phippsburg June 11, 1915, a daughter of Robert P. and Bessie A. Perry Manson. She was educated in the local schools and graduated from Morse High School, Class of 1932.

On Nov. 10, 1939, she married Duncan H. Farrell. Farrell died Oct. 4, 1963. She later married Charles B. Doyle May 8, 1965, and he died Jan. 23, 1974.

She worked for Pine Tree Society at its camp in Rome for 13 years and was a teller at Bath Savings for several years.

She enjoyed golf, bowling and playing bridge. She was past president of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, past president of Bath Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and a director at Pine Tree Society. She was always ready and willing to volunteer her time for a worthy cause.

She made her home with her son for the past two years and was the oldest alumni member to attend Morse High’s Blue and White Banquet the past two years.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan F. Delano; and a stepson, Charles B. Doyle II.

She is survived by her son, Peter M. Farrell and wife, Linda, of Round Pond; stepdaughter, Nancy D. Smith, of West Bath; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be announced at a later time.
