YARMOUTH — Roberta Duggan Cline, 81, of Yarmouth, died Sept. 13.

Cline was born in Portland on Oct. 1, 1932, the daughter of Dautt M. and Florence L. (Rollins) Duggan, of Falmouth. She was also the stepdaughter of Everett F. Burnell. She attended Falmouth schools, graduated from Falmouth High School, Class of 1951, and then attended Northeast Business College.

On Jan. 15, 1953, she married Richard C. Cline, of Yarmouth. She became a partner with her husband in his business, Sweetser & Cline Inc. Over the years, Cline also worked for First Portland National Bank, Casco National Bank and Casco Bay Motors.

Cline volunteered with a Girl Scout troop in Yarmouth and also helped out at election polls. She was a fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots, and enjoyed playing Beano and reading. She loved being outdoors, bird watching, observing other wildlife, taking family RV trips, or snowmobiling in the winter. Her family has many fond memories of camping with her at a cottage on Lake Cobboseecontee, and how she made time together as a family special for everyone.

Cline is also remembered for her love and acceptance of others, for being a good listener, and for her willingness to lend a helping hand.

She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth R. Cline, in 1977.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Cline, of Yarmouth; daughter, Susan Davis, and husband, John, of Yarmouth; daughter, Janet Paul, and husband, Rick, of Farmington; daughter, Donna Cline, of Yarmouth; and seven grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca, Alyssa, Sean, Adam, Brianna and Cameron.

A graveside service was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m., in Riverside Cemetery, 78 Smith St., Yarmouth.
