TOPSHAM — Robert R. Brillant, 71, of Cathance Road, died Sept. 25 at Mid Coast Hospital.
He was born in Brunswick Feb. 3, 1943, the son of Lucien and Loretta Bernier Brillant. He attended local schools and in 1968 became a firefighter for the town of Brunswick, retiring in 1988. He also worked with Ray Labbe for nearly 30 years. In his spare time, Brillant enjoyed fast cars and boats, and was an avid fan of the Patriots.
He is predeceased by a brother, Roland Brillant.
He is survived by three sons, Dale, of Bangor, Mark, of North Waterboro, and Glenn, of Spring Hill, Florida; a daughter, Angel Nurse, and husband, Steve, of Naples, Florida; a sister, Lucy Earl, of Brunswick; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A remembrance with friends was held Oct. 4 at Gracelawn Memorial Park, in Auburn.
