BRUNSWICK — Robert G. Burbank, 84, died Aug. 17 at the Horizons Living & Rehab Center in Brunswick. Robert was born in Haverhill, N.H., on Jan. 17, 1928, the son of Ezra and Marjorie Hill Burbank.
On June 18, 1954, he married Shirley Rathburn.
Burbank served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He also worked for the Brunswick School Department, retiring after 25 years.
Burbank enjoyed camping, fishing, a nice boat ride and golf. He was a member of American Legion Post 202 of Topsham, the Brunswick Elks Lodge and the 40 & 8 Club of Topsham.
He is survived by his wife, of Bowdoinham; a daughter, Donna Burbank; two sons, Richard and Steven Burbank; a sister, Marjorie Burt; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter, Patina; a sister, Gertrude; and a brother, Paul.
At Burbank’s request services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Maine Chapter, 383 U.S. Route 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. Memorial condolences may be expressed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com.
