BATH — Robert G. Brown, 67, formerly of Phippsburg, died July 11.

On Jan. 16, 1943, he was born in Bath, a son of Herbert and Geraldine Brown.  

After he attended Bath schools, he served four years in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged.

Over the years, he worked as a school bus driver for Bath and Phippsburg schools, and was an avid fisherman and lobsterman.  

For 40 years he was a communicant of Sebasco Estates Nazarene Church.  

Above all, he loved his family.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Thomas.
 
Surviving are his loving wife of 29 years, Priscilla; five sons, Bob Brown, Scott Brown, Warren Alexander, Lester Anderson, Joseph Anderson; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two brothers, Herbert Brown and his family, and Anthony Brown and his family.

Visitation is Thursday, July 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. at David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, 638 High St., Bath.  

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16 at the funeral home. Following the burial at Morning Side Cemetery in Phippsburg, there will be a gathering at Beverly Koehling’s home, 83 Sam Bay Hill Road, Phippsburg.
