PORTLAND — Robert D. Gibbons, 59, of Portland, formerly of South Portland, died April 29, in Dover, N.H. He was born July 11, 1953, in Winchester, Mass., a son of James V. and Janet Ann MacDonald Gibbons.
Gibbons was predeceased by his parents; a brother, James V. Gibbons Jr., and his twin sister, Roberta Gibbons Skillin.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lauren Gibbons Messner, and her husband, George, of New York City, and Georgia D. Gibbons, of Portland; a son, Sam Gibbons, of Brookline, Mass.; two sisters, Janet Gibbons Monaco, and her husband, Robert, of York, and Laetitia Leete, and her husband, Larry, of Spring Lake, Mich.; and a grandson, George Messner IV.
A memorial service will be held later in the summer.
