BRUNSWICK — Robert Card, 82, died Feb. 8 at Maine Medical Center.

Card was born in Lisbon on Dec. 18, 1929, the son of Edward and Mary Wilson Card. He attended Bowdoin schools.

One June 3, 1955, he married Gertrude L. Morse. He later married Beverly Coffin LeBlanc; she died Nov. 30, 2004.

Card was employed by Roland LeTourneau in Bowdoin hauling lumber to Quincy, Mass., and later worked for Rossie Construction, Louis Steward and H.C. Crooker and Sons.

As a young man he enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiling and watching W.W.E. Super Star Wrestling. He took many road trips to New Hampshire and Vermont to see moose and deer and more recently enjoyed eating out with his first wife, Gertrude, and occasional trips to Virginia to see his brothers.

He was predeceased by a brother, Winston Card, and stepson, Robert Pennell.

Card is survived by his son, Robert A. Card of Topsham; five brothers, Edward Card and his wife, Pam, of Chesapeake, Va., John H. Card of Freeport, Ernest Card and his wife, Maryann, of Lisbon, Gilbert Card of Lisbon Falls and Roger Card and his wife, Terry, of Chesapeake, Va.; sister, Ruth Currier of Brunswick; stepdaughters Pamela Bichrest and her husband,  Troy, of Cundy’s Harbor and Sheila Kay and her husband, Tobie, of Brunswick; five stepgrandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Cranberry Horn Cemetery, Harpswell in the spring.
