TOPSHAM — Rita C. Frasch, 68, died Aug. 1 at her home after battling Myelodysplastic Syndrome since April 2006.
She was born in Memphis, Tenn., Sept. 29, 1940, the daughter of James and Teresa (Pera) Caudell and attended Memphis schools.
On Feb. 14, 1959, she married Robert W. Frasch, and was a Navy wife for 29 years.
Her interests included square dancing, racquetball, crafts, and she was an avid fan of figure skating and the Boston Red Sox.
She enjoyed volunteering with the schools, nursing homes, the military hospital and thrift shops.
Surviving is her husband Robert of Topsham; a daughter, Dawn Frasch of Topsham; a granddaughter, Amber Creamer of Topsham; her mother, Teresa Posey of Memphis, Tenn.; her sister, Alice Gunn of Hernando, Miss., and two brothers, James Caudell and Patrick Posey, both of Memphis; two uncles, Robert Pera of Memphis, Tenn., and Rev. Sylvano Pera of Teutopolis, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and cousins.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.
