TOPSHAM — Richard P. Byras, 64, of Meadow Cross Road, died Oct. 25, at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick.
He was born in Lewiston July 14, 1951, the son of Kenneth Byras Sr. and Helen Dobransky Byras. He was a graduate of Brunswick High School.
He married Kathleen Rowley Hanscom in Topsham Oct. 30, 1981.
Byras was employed at the Hannaford store in Brunswick for 40 years.
He was an avid New England sports fan, enjoyed riding his motorcycle for many years and following NASCAR.
He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Byras.
Byras is survived by his wife, of Topsham; a son, Christopher Hanscom, of Topsham; a daughter, Jessica Hanscom, of McMinnville, Oregon; two brothers, Kenneth Byras, Jr. and Wayne Byras, of Topsham; a sister, Nancy Stubbs, of Phippsburg; and a grandson, Caden Hanscom.
A time of visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, followed by a service at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, with the Rev. Frank Murray officiating.
