YARMOUTH — The Rev. Paul Anthony Rodrigues, 79, died at Brentwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on March 18 after a brief illness.

He was born on Feb. 1, 1933, in Brockton, Mass., to Ambrose and Edith Rodrigues. He was the husband of the late Agnes T. Rodrigues.

He graduated from the Zion Bible Institute in East Providence, R.I. in 1954. He served as pastor of Zion Union Church in Hyannis, Mass., for 30 years and of Calvary Pentecostal Church of East Freetown, Mass., for 10 years. After he retired in 1995 he moved to Medina, Ohio, where he ministered in nursing home and held vesper services at the apartment complex where he lived.

He lived in Freeport with his daughter from 2006 to 2010 and then lived at Brentwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl A. Williams and her husband, Eben, of Freeport, Gayle C. Fabian and her husband, John, of Medina, Ohio; son, Mark A. Rodrigues and his wife, Michelle, of Attleboro, Mass; brothers, Peter, of Taunton, Mass., Walter, of Warren, R.I., John, of Navarre, Fla., and David, of Easley, S.C.; six grandchildren, Abigail and Naomi, of Freeport, Jonathan and Stephanie, of Massachusetts, Dominique, of Ohio, and Erica; great-grandchild, Kenny; several nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.

He was dearly loved and respected and will be greatly missed by all. Services were held in New Bedford, Mass.
