FALMOUTH — Two-term incumbent Rep. Mary Nelson, D-Falmouth, defeated political newcomer John Logan Jones, R-Falmouth, in the race for her House District 112 seat.
Nelson won by a margin of 3,231 to 2,622.
The 32-year Falmouth resident is retired and focuses her energies solely on her work as a legislator, serving on the Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affaris.
