FALMOUTH — The reopening of the Exit 52 southbound on-ramp to the Maine Turnpike from the Falmouth Spur has been delayed until at least Friday.

The delay is a result of more work required to lift the interchange bridge and increase clearance over the highway, according to a press release from the Maine Turnpike Authority.

The MTA said the ramp could reopen later this week, depending on weather conditions. The southbound off-ramp from the turnpike to the Falmouth Spur will remain closed until November, when major construction is expected to be complete.
