The flag that once draped the casket of U.S. Army Air Force Sgt. Leroy Reardon, a World War II veteran, was one of more than 50 on display again Thursday as part of the Flag Day observance on the Yarmouth Memorial Green. American Legion Post 91 gathered the flags, which were given to family members after the veterans’ burials. The flags, each with a commemorative tag, were raised at 7 a.m. and were to be lowered at 5 p.m.
