YARMOUTH — The Maine Department of Marine Resources on Monday will hold a public scoping session on proposed aquaculture lease applications.
The session will be held Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Yarmouth Town Hall. It is an opportunity for the public to learn about the lease applications and to have an open discussion about them.
The lease applications are for suspended culture of sugar kelp, horsetail kelp, and alaria at four proposed sites, which include two off Moshier Island, one off Cousins Island, and one off The Nubbin.
