POWNAL — A one-year term on the Regional School Unit 5 Board of Directors will be on the June ballot after a recent resignation.
Naomi Ledbetter resigned from the board last week, but will serve until the end of the school year before moving. Her term was set to expire June 2019.
Those interested in serving the remainder of Ledbetter’s three-year term may pick up nomination papers at the town office at 429 Hallowell Road.
One seat on the Board of Selectmen and one on the Cemetery Commission will also be on the June 12 ballot, each for a three-year term. Terms are expiring for Selectman Jon Morris and Cemetery Commission member Dwayne Snow. Morris said on March 6 that he is planning to run for re-election.
Nominees must collect no less than 25 and no more than 100 signatures from registered Pownal voters. Papers must be filed by 4:30 p.m. April 12.
