POWNAL — Nomination papers for municipal elections became available at the town office Monday, March 5.
One seat on the Board of Selectmen and one on the Cemetery Commission will be on the ballot June 12. Each seat is for a three-year term.
Terms are expiring for Selectman Jon Morris and Cemetery Commission member Dwayne Snow. Morris said on March 6 that he is planning to run for re-election.
Residents may visit the town office during regular operating hours to pick up nomination papers. Nominees must collect no less than 25 and no more than 100 signatures from registered Pownal voters.
Papers must be filed by April 12.
