Nate Porter stretches for the line and scores the Portland U-19 boys’ rugby club’s first try of the game during a thrilling 23-20 victory over Kearsage, N.H., Saturday. Mat Aldus’ last-second penalty kick was the difference. Porter and Jake Bigelow scored tries to rally the Power Pigs from an 8-0 deficit to a 10-8 lead. Down 13-10 at the start of the second half, John Toohey and Evan Peaco scored tries for Portland, but Kearsage rallied to force a 20-20 tie, setting up Aldus’ heroics from 15-meters as time expired.
