PORTLAND — The annual Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon and 5K road race will take place Saturday, July 11, beginning at 7 a.m. at Ocean Gateway.
Organizers are looking for volunteers to be flaggers for the race, no experience necessary. Flaggers will guide runners to turn at various intersections around the course. Those interested in volunteering can register online at oldporthalfmarathon.com.
There will be a lobster bake on Friday, July 10, from 5-8 p.m. at Ocean Gateway, where runners can get race registration packets, see local vendors, hear live music, and enjoy food and Shipyard beer.
