PORTLAND — A Portland woman faces a Class A robbery charge after allegedly stealing prescription drugs from the Walgreens at 340 Allen Ave. on Sunday morning.
Police said Elisabeth Sanborn, 34, no address listed, entered the store just after 9 a.m. and told an employee she had an explosive device and wanted drugs. She was given an undisclosed amount of medications and left the store.
Sanborn then returned to the store almost two hours later, where she was arrested and charged. The Portland Police Hazardous Device Unit and a K-9 unit also responded and searched Sanborn’s vehicle. No explosive devices were found.
