PORTLAND — A public workshop on the possible reintroduction of two-way traffic on High and State streets will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in the State of Maine Room at Portland City Hall.

The scope and methods of the study will be detailed along with initial data from traffic counts in the corridor from Deering Oaks Park to the Casco Bay Bridge. The city-sponsored study conducted by TY Lin International will evaluate infrastructure changes necessary to make the area safer for vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians.

More information on the study can be found at the city website, or calling or emailing Carol Morris at 329-6502 or cmorris@morriscomm.net.
