PORTLAND — New Mainers interested in starting their own businesses are invited to a series of free Immigrant Entrepreneurship Workshops hosted by the city.

The two-hour workshops on June 4, 6, 11 and 13 will run from 3:45-5:45 p.m. at Portland Adult Education, Room 10, 14 Locust St.

Hosted by the city’s Economic Development Department and the Office of Economic Opportunity in partnership with New Ventures Maine and the New Mainer’s Resource Center, the workshops will cover how to start a business, write a business plan, financial planning and “the pros and cons of owning your own business.”
