PORTLAND — Public Works crews will make one last sweep to collect leaves on Saturday, Dec. 5.

City Hall spokeswoman Jessica Grondin said the collection is needed because the foliage season lasted longer than in past years. The collection will be citywide, regardless of the normal residential trash and recycling collection days.

Leaves must be placed in biodegradable yard waste bags at curbside by 6:30 a.m. for collection, Grondin said.
