PORTLAND — A teacher at King Middle School has won a $10,000 grant for a teacher development workshop.
Gus Goodwin, a technology education teacher, won the grant from the Abundance Foundation, a California-based organization that helps train and support community leaders to grow existing programs.
The grant will be put toward a two-day professional development workshop titled “Think, Tinker and Inspire,” Nov. 5-6, at Thompson’s Point. The workshop will show teachers how to build an invention of their own in a MakerSpace setting, according to a press release.
