PORTLAND — A four-block patch of the India Street neighborhood will be closed to traffic on Monday, June 16, to accommodate a film shoot.
From 8:30 a.m. to noon, and from 1-4:30 p.m., only local traffic will be permitted on India Street between Federal and Middle streets, and on Newbury Street between Hampshire and Hancock streets, according to City Hall spokeswoman Jessica Grondin.
Local traffic may also be detained in the area while cameras are rolling, she said in a press release.
The traffic restrictions are in place to allow filming of “Night of the Living Deb,” an independent, crowd-funded production whose Facebook page describes it as “a female-driven action-horror rom-com set in the world of a zombie apocalypse on Christmas.”
The film is reportedly scheduled for release on Halloween, Oct. 31.
The “Deb” cast includes David Krumholtz, star of CBS television drama “Numbers”; Michael Cassidy, who appeared in Hollywood blockbuster “Argo”; and Maria Thayer, who had roles in movies such as “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Hitch.”
