PORTLAND — The annual St. Patrick’s Day parade along Commercial Street will step off at noon on March 17.
Bob Kearney of the Irish American Club of Maine said in a press release the parade begins at Commercial and Center streets and proceeds past the viewing stand at Bell Buoy Park near the Casco Bay Lines terminal.
Included in the parade are Claddagh Mhor Pipe Band, members of the Stillson School of Irish Dance, Ancient Order of the Hibernians and the Maine Gaelic Sports Association, Kearney said.
Following the parade is a 1-4 p.m reception at the Maine Irish Heritage Center, 34 Gray St., with a cash bar, food on sale, music and dancing.
