Local soccer players named all-state
Deering’s Stephen Ochan and Portland’s Yusef Yama were named to the Western Maine boys’ all-state team at the 40th Maine Soccer Coaches’ All-Star Banquet Sunday. Deering’s Alexis Elowitch made the girls’ Western Maine all-state team. Elowitch was also named to the All-New England team, one of just three girls’ players in the state to be honored. Waynflete’s Todd Dominski is a nominee for the Region 1 Coach of the Year of a girls’ private school team.
