Football preview show Thursday
Forecaster Sports Editor Michael Hoffer will join Kalle Oakes of the Sun Journal and Travis Lee on Channel 8’s high school football preview show Thursday at 7 p.m. The show will focus on the upcoming season, including local players and teams, and will lead into the final New England Patriots preseason game.
Portland Porpoises beginning new season
The Portland Porpoise Swim Club will begin its new season Sept. 8. There will be a brief assessment Saturday, Sept. 6 at Reiche School from 11 to 11:30 a.m., to place new swimmers. The club also offers a one-week free trial. FMI, matt@portlandporpoises.com or portlandporpoises.com.
