SMCC soccer player earns honor
Southern Maine Community College men’s soccer player Nick Link was named the national player of the week by the USCAA. Link, a junior defenseman, played 180 minutes of a 1-1 week, helping his team record a shutout, while scoring a goal and adding an assist on offense.
Waynflete hosting cross country race
Waynflete School will host a boys’ and girls’ one-mile cross-country race for kids 14-and-under, Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Fore River Fields. Girls start at 10 a.m. Boys race at 10:15 a.m. The fee is $15. FMI, call 774-5721.
