SMCC men stay perfect in conference

The Southern Maine Community College men’s basketball team continued its stellar season last week with home wins over U. Maine-Augusta (95-68) and Eastern Maine CC (92-71), improving its record to 15-1 (11-0 in the Yankee Small College Conference). Against UMA, Grayson Waterman had 19 points. Alexander Hartford had 12 points in the win over EMCC. The women are 11-8 overall (8-3 in conference) after splitting two games last week. SMCC handled visiting EMCC (94-44) and lost at home to CCRI (61-53). Alicia Hoyt had 19 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Amira Jones had 11 points in the loss. After hosting Unity College Wednesday, the Seawolves go to U. Maine-Presque Isle Saturday.

Western Maine umpire classes upcoming
