SMCC softball goes 2-2 over weekend

The Southern Maine Community College softball team went 2-2 last weekend, losing a home doubleheader to Briarcliffe (N.Y.) College (11-7, 20-5) and sweeping Central Maine CC (2-0, 1-0) to improve to 14-16 overall (8-0 in conference play). Kim Hunt (four hits, 18 strikeouts) and Candace Hall (17 Ks) earned the victories.

Waynflete youth lax clinic upcoming

Longtime Waynflete varsity lacrosse coaches Cathie Connors and Bob Johnson will be offering youth lacrosse clinics for boys and girls in grades 2-6 this spring at Waynflete’s Fore River Fields. Waynflete seeks field hockey coach

Waynflete School is seeking a varsity field hockey coach for the fall season. Experience coaching field hockey is required. Interested applicants should email a cover letter, resume and a list of three references to athletic director Ross Burdick at ross_burdick@waynflete.org.
