Little League coaching clinic upcoming

Nationally recognized coach trainer “Big Al” Price, who is endorsed by Little League International and tours the country each spring, will be holding a coaching clinic Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 9:30 p.m., at King Middle School gym in Portland. The clinic will include basic baseball and softball techniques, what to expect from a typical group of players, developmentally appropriate expectations for various ages, tips for working with parents and ideas for practice routines and skill stations. Running program upcoming

Maine Running Hall of Famer Ziggy Gillespie is presenting a six-month individual training/racing program beginning April 1. The program is open to male and female runners of any ability level. Volleyball clinic upcoming

Maine Juniors and the U-16 Gold team will host a youth volleyball clinic Saturdays April 11, 18 and 25 at the Baxter School for the Deaf on Mackworth Island in Falmouth. The clinic is for boys and girls in grades 2 through 7. Grades 2 through 4 go from 2 to 3:30 p.m. and grades 5 through 7 go from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $40. FMI, mainejuniors.org.
