PORTLAND — The School Department has launched its third annual parent survey.

The voluntary and anonymous survey is posted on the School Department website, and is available in several languages. Paper copies are also available at each school during parent-teacher conferences. The deadline to complete the survey is April 29.

The survey asks parents about their views on topics like whether schools provide a rigorous curriculum, whether their children feel engaged by school, whether teachers set high expectations, and whether parents would recommend their children’s school to other parents.

It also asks several questions about the management of the schools, and includes additional space for comments. For more information, contact Chanda Turner at turnec@portlandschools.org or 842-5356.
