PORTLAND — Michael Wilson has joined the School Department as its new chief financial officer.
The new position is one of several created under the department’s administrative reorganization. The School Department also recently hired a new chief academic officer and is searching for a chief operating officer.
Wilson is an attorney and certified public accountant. He worked at Pierce Atwood from 1999 to 2009.
The School Committee unanimously approved Wilson for the job Aug. 4. He will receive an annual salary of $110,000.
