Portland schools expand
high school bus service

PORTLAND — All public high school students in Portland who live more than two miles from his/her school will be able to get bus transportation during the 2009-2010 school year.

The hopes are that expanded bus service will make it easier for high school students to attend school regularly.

Previously, students had to request bus transportation to high school due to the district’s former policy stating that bussing grades 9 through 12 was by “exception only.”
