Over 50 children from East Bayside and Munjoy Hill neighborhoods ages 6-12 had a blast reading, writing, creating art, sewing, interviewing each other, dancing and more at Mayo Street Arts this summer. Students marched in a neighborhood parade, performed at National Night Out, made their own kites with artist Joel Eckhaus and water-taxied to Bug Light Park to fly them. The group also visited Gilsland Farm Preserve, sewed sock monkeys with artist Maggie Muth, and saw a puppet show by Jim Henson award-winning puppeteer Hobey Ford.
