PORTLAND — The Board of Public Education on Aug. 5 will hold a business meeting on Peaks Island at the Fifth Maine Regiment Museum, 45 Seashore Ave.
The 7 p.m. meeting will be preceded by a 6 p.m. executive session. The meeting will not be broadcast live on TV3, but will air at a later date.
“We have not held a meeting on the island for a long time,” Chairwoman Sarah Thompson said in a news release. “This will be an opportunity to see a very special Portland neighborhood and to interact with island residents.”
