PORTLAND — Overnight paving work on Congress Street near Bramhall Square is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. May 31 and June 1.

The city Public Works Department said the work is a new phase of improvements at the intersection of Congress and Bramhall streets. Prior phases involved replacing traffic signals, and curb and sidewalk segments.

Removal of the old paved surface is expected to be completed May 31, with the new surface installed June 1. The new surface will be striped in mid-June.

The work schedule is subject to weather conditions, and parking restrictions will be enforced on Congress Street as needed.
