PORTLAND — The city is looking for residents to serve on a committee that will work with the Maine Department of Transportation on redesign plans for the Martins Point bridge.
The bridge, which spans Casco Bay at the mouth of the Presumpscot River, is scheduled to be replaced in 2012. The city is looking for up to three representatives who travel the bridge regularly.
The stakeholder committee will include Falmouth and Portland residents and officials, representatives from B&M Baked Beans and Martin’s Point Health Center, the East Deering Neighborhood Association and a bicycle/pedestrian advocate.
Interested residents should submit a letter of interest to Councilor Cheryl Leeman by April 23. Her e-mail address is email@example.com.
