PORTLAND — Registration is open for the Walk to Help ME Recover, to be held at 10 a.m. June 11 along Baxter Boulevard.

The 3.5-mile walk, beginning and ending at Payson Park, is a fundraiser for the Portland Recovery Community Center, 468 Forest Ave., and Help ME Recover, a community coalition fighting substance use disorders. It is also being held to “celebrate the positive role of recovery from substance use addiction,” according to organizers.

Following the walk, participants will gather in Payson Park for stories, bonding and light refreshments.

Registration fees are on a sliding scale up to $50. Online registration is available at bit.ly/1WMIUVl. Registration on the day of the walk begins at 8:30 a.m. The first 200 to register will receive a T-shirt.
