PORTLAND — A $10,000 grant to the city Public Health Division will be used reduce tobacco use by pregnant women and new mothers.

City spokeswoman Jessica Grondin announced the March of Dimes grant to the Maternal and Child Health Program on June 9. 

Grondin said the money, which originated with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, will fund training in tobacco use intervention for two nurses.
