PORTLAND — Police are looking for three men they said are connected to home invasion and robbery at 127 Cumberland Ave. on Thursday morning.

Lt. James Sweatt said two residents were robbed at gunpoint by three black men who forced their way into an apartment and restrained them. The victims reported minor injuries in the incident.

The robbery was reported around 9:45 a.m. Sweatt said one of the residents was able to escape to a nearby business. The suspects fled down Anderson Street after taking cash, and possibly left the area in a tan Ford SUV.

Police said there are video images of the suspects and vehicle. One of the suspects was described as about 30 years old, heavy set, possibly with a mustache or beard, wearing a gray woolen-type jacket and hat. He was armed with a black handgun.

The second suspect was described as about 6 feet tall, with a slim build, no facial hair, and wearing gray or black clothing with a hood and a baseball cap. He was armed with a black handgun with a brown handle.

The third suspect was described as 30 years of age, with a heavy or very large build, and wearing black clothing.

Police said anyone who may have witnessed the robbery should contact the Portland Police Department at 874-8584 or to text tips anonymously using the keyword “GOTCHA” and a message to 274637.
