PORTLAND — City police are investigating a vandalism spree that left eight vehicles with broken windows.
Police Lt. James Sweatt said it appears a pellet or BB gun was used to shoot out windows facing the street. Five incidents were reported on Emery Street, two on Birchwood Drive and one on Spring Street. The vandalism was reported between 11 p.m. Monday, March 10, and 1 a.m. Tuesday, March 11.
Sweatt estimated damages at more than $4,000. Anyone with information about the spree is asked to call police at 874-8584 or to text anonymous tips to 274637, using the keyword “GOTCHA” before the tip.
