PORTLAND — Police are investigating the reported robbery at knife point of a taxi cab driver on Saturday night, Sept. 12.

The alleged robbery occurred around 11:15 p.m. The driver of the ABC cab reported he was flagged down by two black men at the Munjoy South apartment complex. They requested a ride to the Riverton area.

The men directed the driver to Broadway where it intersects with Carriage Lane. After leaving the cab, one of the men reportedly pulled a knife and demanded money. The two fled toward Forest Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect with the knife was described as 20 to 25 years old, unshaven, with cornrowed hair with one red bead woven into his hair. He is described as 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighing 150-170 pounds. He was wearing a Houston Astros baseball cap, dark pants, and a green hooded sweatshirt.

The other suspect was described as a 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch, weighing 160 pounds. He was unshaven and wearing a dark jacket, long pants and a baseball cap on backwards.
