PORTLAND —A 36-year-old woman was killed inside her Riverton home Sunday night, according to city police.

Lt. Robert Martin said the victim was Sokha Khuon, of 46 Dorothy St.

Martin on Monday afternoon said Khuon’s cause of death had yet to be determined by the state Office of the Medical Examiner, but police were called to the home near Morrill’s Corner after a neighbor heard gunshots.

The call came 10:01 p.m., and Khoun’s children, ages 10 and 15, were home at the time. Both were unharmed, Martin said.

No arrests have been made, but Martin said police do not believe the public is in danger.
