PORTLAND — The Police Department is planning an open house Saturday, April 20, to “introduce” the PPD to the public.
“Getting to Know Your Portland Police Department” is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to noon at 109 Middle St.
Police Chief Michael Sauschuck will lead the event, which will address topics including 911 calls, the roles of police officers and detectives, how the court system works, and the department’s community programs. There will also be a question-and-answer session.
