PORTLAND — The eighth annual Portland Polar Dip has been rescheduled to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 14, at East End Beach. Registration for the dip begins at noon the same day.

The annual event, which was postponed Feb. 21 because of ice in Casco Bay, is a fundraiser for Casco-based Camp Sunshine, where children with life-threatening illnesses and their families can spend a week in the summer.

The fundraising goal is $20,000, and participants who collect at least $100 in pledges will get a T-shirt. For more information, visit freezinforareason.com.
