PORTLAND — Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Parish is holding a Latino Festival starting at noon Saturday, Oct. 6.

All are welcome to attend the event, which will be held in the parish hall at 65 Mellen St.. In addition to games for children, handmade crafts and live music, there will also be a wide variety of Central and South American food.

Visitors can sample dishes such as tacos, tamales, pupusas, carne asada, horchata, flan, chicken stew, rellenitos, and more. All proceeds will benefit the parish’s Hispanic Ministry.

The festival is designed to celebrate the cultural heritage of the parish’s Latino population; the parish serves people from 12 Spanish-speaking countries.
